Bikini Challenge (Day 6)

So Sunday was a little better in the morning I made myself an Omelet with egg, onion, bell pepper and cheese. For lunch I had subway the veggie sandwich and then for dinner I had a protein shake. And yet again I did not exercise. Tomorrow I will get back on it. Its usually around this time when I quit diets so I have to make sure that I don't do that again.

Bikini Challenge (Day 5)

Ok so Day 5 was bad I will just consider it my cheat day. I opened up a spot at the swap meet and woke up at 3:30AM, since I was in a rush to get there on time I stopped by jack in the box and grabbed an egg and cheese biscuit with hash browns and an orange juice. Then the day was so long and I had no idea what I was going to do for lunch, considering they do not allow food or drink to come IN to the premises I was forced to eat whatever vegetarian option there was available, which was cheese pizza! Omg I know right so horrible totally jumped off the wagon at that point. Anyhoo for dinner I had Del taco, two shrimp tacos (because I still eat fish and pretty much anything under the sea) I was just so tired, I wanted food right then and didn't want to wait for it… and on top of it I didn't exercise :( FAIL

Bikini Challenge (Day 4)

Ok So Today was great until midnight struck lol… For Breakfast I had a Protein shake the same one I had the other day. Then I had a tempeh salad (recipe below). For Dinner I had the same pasta that I had the other day, just because it was so delicious and it was a second time :) I snacked on trail mix all day, but the bad thing I did I was I went out with my friends.

The shitty thing about dieting is that you seriously cannot go out at all until you are done with your diet and who wants to stay shacked up for 5 weeks? ugh not me! I tried to keep in under control and I think I did ok I guess. I had 2 glasses of wine and 2 cocktails, a lot for some people, but Im the type of person where I go out to get drunk and have fun so I would usually have had several shots and then some so Im pretty proud of myself for doing that good.

EXERCISE: I went for a jog, maybe like 20 mins, I would have gone longer, but my dog ran underneath my legs and I went off balance and my phone flew out of my hand and now I have a huge crack on the surface! NEVER TAKING MY DOG AGAIN!

OVER ALL FEELING: I have been feeling the same so far I still get tired around the same time of day its just not as tired as I was. Im really sore from working out, but I feel if I keep doing it eventually I will get over the pain.

Fresh and Lean Tempeh Salad

  • 4 oz. Tempeh, cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 Cup Carrots, grated
  • 1/2 Cup Cucumber, grated
  • 1/2 Lemon, squeezed
  • 2 tsp. Fresh Basil, Mint or Cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. Mrs. Dash (any flavor) & 1 tsp. Agave Syrup

Spray a medium skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Cook tempeh strips over medium heat for about 5 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and toss all remaining ingredients and juice from the lemon together in a bowl.

** Tip: We recommend chilling the the tempeh for a few minutes after cooking and before mixing with other ingredients for a cool refreshing salad.

Bikini Challenge (Day 3)

Sooo behind…man this blogging thing is pretty hard to do everyday lol. Ok So breakfast I had oatmeal with banana and a "think thin" bar for a snack and then for lunch I had a caesar salad…. I know not the healthiest choice, but its much better then what i was eating at this time of day I would probably have a crunch burrito with beans instead of beef, so if I at least have taste Im More likely to stick to it. For dinner well-- now that I think of it I didn't have dinner, I had half a cocktail instead (me and my dude got into a fight) I went to my friends house in rage and ate nothing which is bad OH! and I had a pepsi.

I did these work outs below, plus I did some sprinting and played a little basket ball with my brother.

Bikini Challenge (Day 2)


So a day late on this post, but at least im getting it done. Yesterday was a lot better, I was able to stomach the food. I had a grapefruit for breakfast that I had sprinkled with Truvia. For my snack I had a "think thin" bar which was delicious, it was a peanut butter crunch one..mmmm!

Then for Lunch I had a peanut butter protein shake which was also delicious, but then my mom came in with Subway! Well--I couldn't let it just sit there so I ate it lol! Stupid I know, it was a veggie on wheat with lettuce onions bell peppers and pickles, light mayo and american cheese…mmmMMM! I then snacked on Trail Mix through out the day and then for dinner I made this little pasta number :) My friend gave me the recipe and then I went from there and added in some of my own spices.

Spaghetti Recipe: Set the oven for 400°, Cut up one large Tomato and sprinkle with salt and dried basil and put on a baking sheet with olive oil and stick in the oven for about 7 to 10 mins depending how hot your oven gets. Boil Wheat pasta until done and then mix the pasta with the tomatoes and then mix with as much parmesan as you see fit.

High Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Shake

1 Banana

2 Tbls Natural Peanut Butter (chunky or smooth)

2 Tbls Wheat Germ

6 Oz Almond or Soy Milk

3 Scoops Protein Powder (Chocolate or Peanut Butter Chocolate)

Ice

Put all ingredients into blender. Blend until smoothie consistency is reached.




During the day I did the exercises below and then I played a little basket ball with my brother. If your not sure what a burpee is here is a video that will show to how :)

    Bikini Challenge (Day 1)



    So today was a little rough, frankly the food was rough. I started with a breakfast parfait. Looks delicious doesn't it? Well Don't be fooled! It was disgusting! It started with blueberries on the bottom and then greek yogurt in the middle that was all I planned on having, but no one ever told me how gross greek yogurt is! It tastes like sour milk ugh.

    I tried to add walnuts and trail mix to add taste, but I couldn't stomach it I ended up throwing it away and I ended up eating trail mix for breakfast. Hopefully Lunch would be better.

    And it was a little better, It would have tasted great if I didn't add so much balsamic vinegar. It was a quinoa spinach salad. I read the ingredients wrong it called for 2 teaspoons and I added 2 tablespoons. But I was pretty much full anyways snacking on trail mix all day long kept me sane. Dinner was amazing though. I grilled myself fish and mango salsa. It was so good I didnt even wait to take a picture of it. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

    EXERCISE: I went for a very long walk and then sprinted for 2 mins. Not a lot but something to start off with considering my asthma is insane and won't let me breathe.

    Doing it right


    So as everyone knows Im absolutely obsessed with dieting, hence pretty much ALL of my videos! And So I have decided, that for the time it took me with all of those failed diets, I could have been skinny by now if I would have just done it right.

    Yup I have tried everything EXCEPT diet AND exercise. Sooo I thought to myself what the hell might as well give it a shot. If you are interested and would like to join me in this challenge…let me know its always easier to have a support group so, should you or myself get off track we can email each other and motivate each other to get back on track.

    Every day I will be posting what exercises I did and how I felt when I did them and what I ate and maybe you or any one who has an expertise in healthy dieting give me some opinions on my food choices. This challenge will last 5 weeks and I will weigh myself once a week…so as I don't get depressed if I don't see a change within one day.

    And if you are wondering where this kick started from--well, I blame it on my friend Susan who introduced me to Toneitup.com which is this really cool website that two girls Karina and Katrina started. It really motivated me because you see a regular size girl who isn't over weight go from ok to amazing! If I would compare my body size it would be Katrina's, and I think that a lot of girls would too. I don't get too motivated with diet plans or fad diets because the spokesperson for the diet went from like a million pounds to nothing and Im not starting off at a million pounds so I feel like if she can do it I can too!

    The diets and some recipes come from there website for free! If you give them your email they send you a newsletter with diets and some recipes.
